CES 2027

January 6, 2027 - January 9, 2027
CES 2027 1

CES 2027 is scheduled for January 6–9 across the Las Vegas Convention Center and other official venues in Las Vegas. Owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association, CES is a trade-focused technology exhibition and conference that covers consumer products, enterprise systems, mobility, digital health, artificial intelligence, robotics, smart infrastructure, entertainment technology, and emerging research. Its audience includes technology companies, retailers, distributors, manufacturers, engineers, investors, startup teams, government representatives, analysts, and credentialed media. Registration categories and admission rules differ by industry role, and the event is not organized as a general public consumer show.

The core program includes exhibits, conference sessions, keynotes, press events, product demonstrations, startup showcases, executive meetings, and specialized industry programs. Major companies use exhibit halls and private meeting space, while early-stage companies are represented through startup-focused areas and programs. Conference content addresses both technical development and the business, policy, investment, and market implications of new products. Media events begin before the publicized exhibit dates, including CES Unveiled and scheduled press conferences. The main calendar entry uses January 6–9 because those are the official 2027 exhibit dates; media-only and pre-show functions on January 4 and 5 operate under separate access rules.

CES is spread across multiple campuses. The Las Vegas Convention Center remains a principal exhibit site, and CES identifies the show as a city-wide event with several official venues. Fontainebleau Las Vegas is scheduled to host CES Foundry from January 6–8, focusing on artificial intelligence and quantum technology. Other conference, media, advertising, hospitality, and meeting functions may be assigned to separate resort properties as the venue plan is finalized. The event’s current official exhibitor directory, floor plans, badge rules, and transportation information are essential references because an attendee’s schedule may involve more than one campus.

History in Las Vegas

CES began in New York in June 1967. According to the Consumer Technology Association’s official history, the January 1978 Winter CES established Las Vegas as the show’s permanent home. For a period, CES operated more than one annual edition, but the organization consolidated the event into a single yearly show held exclusively in Las Vegas beginning in 1998. The 2027 edition therefore continues a Las Vegas history that spans several decades. The event has changed in scale, venue footprint, and subject matter as the technology industry expanded beyond traditional consumer electronics into software, mobility, health, infrastructure, and enterprise applications.

Location

The Las Vegas Convention Center is operated by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority and provides approximately 2.9 million square feet of exhibit space, 225 meeting rooms, and multiple registration and lobby areas. CES uses this campus for large product categories and exhibition halls, while other official venues support specialized exhibits, conference programming, media events, and private meetings. CES transportation information describes the event as city-wide, so participants should not assume that all programs are within walking distance of one another. The official event application, venue maps, and transportation schedule should be used to confirm the correct campus and entrance for each session, exhibit, or appointment.
