BioTech Vegas is hosting an in-person group tour of the UNLV Cellular and Molecular Brain Research Laboratory, led by Dr. Jefferson Kinney. The laboratory studies the cellular and molecular mechanisms involved in neurodegenerative diseases, with particular emphasis on Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and Parkinson’s disease.

The visit will introduce participants to the lab’s neuroscience research and its new fMRI capabilities, which support expanded collaboration with researchers and practitioners in the Las Vegas Valley. Dr. Kinney is the founding chair of the UNLV Department of Brain Health. The one-hour event is open to attendees age 18 and older, doors open at 12:45 p.m., and the organizer will provide reserved-parking details after registration.
