AWS announced the first re:Invent as its global customer and partner conference in 2012. That inaugural event ran November 27–29 at The Venetian in Las Vegas and included more than 100 planned sessions. AWS reported that the 2024 edition drew more than 54,000 attendees and offered more than 2,300 sessions and hands-on labs.
