SUMMARY:APEX: Department of Defense Government Contracting and Cybersecurity
DESCRIPTION:Nevada-based businesses that have or plan to pursue federal government contracts with theDepartment of Defense (DoD) are encouraged to attend and learn about the DoD-developedCybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Program. As seen on the agency’s ChiefInformation Officer’s website\, cybersecurity is a top priority as the defense industrial base (DIB) facesincreasingly frequent and complex cyberattacks. To strengthen DIB cybersecurity and better protectagency information\, the agency developed the CMMC Program.The leader from the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA)-Southern Nevada (SNV) Chapterwill be teaching event attendees about the agency’s CMMC Program. The State of Nevada plans torecord his presentation\, in order to provide a link to the recording to attendees post-event and tothose who are unable to attend.
