Jay Eum, Founding Managing Partner, GFT Ventures, Silicon Valley
Jay is a 21-year veteran venture capitalist with extensive investment experience at Samsung Ventures and TransLink Capital. He recently became Founding Managing Partner of GFT Ventures, which invests in category-leading early stage startups focused on frontier technology sectors including AI/ data science, automation/ robotics, fintech/ blockchain, digital healthcare and mobility. Jay started his venture capital career at the Silicon Valley office of Vertex Management, the Singapore-based VC arm of investment firm Temasek Holdings.
Jay received an MBA from Stanford University and M.S/B.S. in Chemistry from Seoul National University. Jay serves as Chairman and Board Director of the Asia America MultiTechnology Association (AAMA). Jay is also an active angel investor and advisor to several startups including Coupang (NYSE: CPNG), KiwiCo, Korbit (acq’d by Nexon), Korea Credit Data, Merit, Noom, SoFi (NASDAQ: SOFI) and Tapas (acq’d by Kakao)

Nan Zhou, Director, Qualcomm Ventures, Silicon Valley
Nan is an investor at Qualcomm Ventures focusing on AI application, IoT, and 5G connectivity in North America. Her core thesis includes AI in Retail, AI & automation in Manufacturing, IoT, and mobilities. Previously, Nan was head of U.S. investment at Baidu Capital and Baidu Changcheng Growth fund, responsible for establishing Baidu’s U.S. investment ecosystem. She built local VC and entrepreneur networks and sourced and completed investments including Cererbas, Kitt.ai, Velodyne, Falcon, Ripcord, MoreHealth, and Black Sesame.
An ex-Wall Street investment banker, she is familiar with both U.S. and the Asia Pacific (HK and China) capital markets, as well as M&A and IPO processes.
She is an MBA graduate of the Wharton School and received accounting and economics undergraduate degrees from the University of Maryland.

Alvin Wang Graylin, Global VP of Corporate Development, HTC, Seattle
Alvin leads global corporate development at smart mobile device maker HTC. A seasoned tech entrepreneur and executive, he also is a co-author of the soon-to-be-released book, Our Next Reality, How The AI -Powered Metaverse will Reshape the World.
Graylin has more than 30 years of business management experience in tech and business, including 20 years in Greater China and seven years as China president at HTC. Prior to HTC, he was a serial entrepreneur, having founded four venture-backed startups in the mobile and internet spaces, covering mobile search, NLP, AI, AR, big data, mobile social, adtech, and digital media. He also has held P&L roles at Intel, Trend Micro, and IBM.
