Join us at The Dale Etheridge Planetarium at the College of Southern Nevada’s North Las Vegas Campus to celebrate International Observe the Moon Night 2023 with this free educational event for the community.

All of our planetarium shows will be free of charge and lunar-themed! Please click on the show titles for more information about each program:

5:00PM One World, One Sky Seasonal Stargazing in the Dome

6:00PM Earth, Moon, & Sun + Seasonal Stargazing in the Dome

7:00PM Back to the Moon For Good + Q & A Session

8:00PM Forward! To the Moon + Q & A Session

Beginning right after our 5:00PM show, we will have lunar science based STEM activities and educational resources available, including the brand new Build A Moon Base Camp activity from the Voyage through the Solar System kit from the National Informal Science Educators Network (NISE).

Of course the Moon will be the main event on this evening, and the Las Vegas Astronomical Society (LVAS) will be outdoors right outside the planetarium entrance with a variety of telescopes and computer equipment to capture incredible views of the 1st quarter Moon, as well as other celestial objects like Saturn! Learn more about LVAS at lvastronomy.org.

Please make your show selection down below and we look forward to seeing you at The Dale Etheridge Planetarium at CSN on Saturday, October 21st!
